T- Group

A T-group or training group is a transformational form of group training where participants themselves (typically, between eight and 15 people) learn about themselves (and about small group processes in general) through their interaction with each other. They use feedback, problem solving, and role play to gain insights into themselves, others, and groups.

Our goal is to offer people a safe “lab” to experiment with new realities/ options for their behavior in groups.

Our Facilitators enable this by focusing the participants attention on the 'here and now' behavior in the group. Attention is paid to particular behaviors of participants not on the "whole person", feedback is non-evaluative and reports on the impact of the behavior on others. The participant has the opportunity to become a more authentic self in relation to others through self disclosure and receiving feedback from others.

This is one of TransforME’s key methodologies - Whether it’s a workshop on Influencing or Presentation Skills or a Leadership Lab, this methodology enables the participants to experience and explore their true barriers and experiment with options to change their behaviours.

Simulations

We leverage a variety of Simulations - whether modeled as real business situations or non-business related general scenario based simulation, in a controlled environment.

The biggest advantage of using simulations is that it’s an extremely “action-oriented” method of learning, where learning’s are drawn out from the participants actions during the simulation.

Action Learning

Action learning is an approach to solving real problems that involves taking action and reflecting upon the results. The learning that results helps improve the problem-solving process as well as the solutions the team develops.

A typical action learning process includes (1) a real problem that is important, critical, and usually complex, (2) a diverse problem-solving team or "set", (3) a process that promotes curiosity, inquiry, and reflection, (4) a requirement that talk be converted into action and, ultimately, a solution, and (5) a commitment to learning.

TransforME follows a unique and extremely transformational 360° feedback process – the BLP 360. This is conducted telephonically by our highly trained and experienced interviewers and coaches.

This is not a scored 360° feedback based on competencies, but a more holistic feedback on the individual taken from various personal and professional stakeholders that the participant nominates. Feedback is delivered to the participants a few days before the first workshop.

Profiling

We use the Extended DISC assessment as a tool for our interventions on Leadership, Teaming or for Stand Alone Coaching Assignments. We are also in the process of exploring and developing some other profiling tools which we could leverage in our interventions.

The reason we have chosen Extended DISC as the tool for our interventions, is that we have found it to be very aligned to our “Inside-Out” approach to development. The Extended DISC measures the unconscious behavior and compares it with the conscious adjusted behavioral style, allowing the measurement of emotions. It goes way beyond regular DISC and many other tools in this regard.

We can then look at the emotions being communicated by the respondent at the time of completion of the questionnaire, such as stress levels, uncertainty of his/her role, insecurity, frustration, pressure to change etc. It also enables the report to define the influence of the present environment on the respondent’s motivation as far as certain needs are concerned. This is vital information both for the individual and the organization.

Assessment Center

An assessment centre uses a range of evaluation techniques, including role plays, job simulation exercises, in-basket exercises, behavioural event interviews and psychometric tests, to create detailed competency insights on participants.

TransforME conducts extensive diagnostics at our client sites to contextualize the design of an assessment centre to their business environments and competency requirements. At the same time, we bring rich domain expertise and experience of industry best practices to standardize key elements of our assessment centres.
